The Flying
Scotsman
affectionately known as 'Scottie' is a Highland/Arab Gelding. He
competed at Dressage, Show-Jumping and Cross-Country before being sold to
Lorraine. Lorraine competed Scottie in veteran hunter classes and a
bit of dressage. He is now retired at the grand old age of 26.
Dhinar a pure-bred
Arabian gelding and Amy (Downies
Aim for Fame) an Anglo-Arab mare, were purchased from Lynn Tait of Downies Stud, Portlethen, Aberdeen
as weanings. Dhinar was sold as a 4 year old but died of collic some
years later. Amy was sold as a prospective endurance horse but is now
a happy hacker.
Fantazeer, a pure bred Arabian mare purchased from
John Marr Arabians, sadly died in 1997 whilst at stud.
Secret (Kings Flight/Downies
Leading Lady), an anglo-arab gelding was purchased as a weaning and later
sold to Karen Green as a 2 year old.
From
Downies Aim for Fame I bred Zak
(Granjoys Flying Start).
Zak was well shown as a youngster
gaining Reserve Male Champion at Haydock and Junior Anglo-Arab Champion at
the SRGAHS as a yearling.
He was 3rd at Haydock in 1997 and 1998 and 5th at the AHS
National Show in 1999. Zak was shown under saddle as a 4 year old, gaining a 3rd at the AHS National Show in
1999.
Unfortunately Zak had a bad accident that same year so is no longer
shown. He is now owned by Tracy Robertson and has been brought into light work after being rested for the
past 3 years.
Gaby (Gabrymmal),
purchased as a yearling from Mrs Henderson, was sold to Fiona Selfridge. Fiona is
doing well competing at show jumping and dressage.
I retained Gaby's daughter,
Amy (Shamila Amira). She is by Ali Khalil (Camargue/Liana
El Shaklan). To my delight
she produced a lovely filly by Psynergy (Padron's Psyche/Balenina).
Ela (Psynammon) in produced in hand by Stephen
McCormick . Amy was backed in February
2005 and had a great novice season that year, she is now at open level and I
am thrilled with her successes to date. She is produced by Clare
Fitch..
Zaleta
by
the world champion Amal out of the lovely polish mare Zaneta was purchased
from Lynn Tait in 2003 but was sadly put to sleep in February 2006.
